I first heard of ARC August while reading Alicia's (A Kernel of Nonsense) post about her participation in the challenge. The further I read about the 3rd Annual ARC August that is hosted by Read. Sleep. Repeat. the more I wanted to take part in it.
I started out the summer with this (what I thought at the time) strong plan to catch up on all my review books that I couldn't get to due to school work and work. It is now July (as of writing this post) and I have gone only backwards by adding more review books. Each time I receive a book to review I am honored, because it's like the author is entrusting me with their child. I feel like I am letting down the author when I take longer than expected to review their book. So, I am going to take advantage of this challenge, and try to get through as many ARCs as possible during the month of August!
Rules...
The rules are very simple
- It may be a physical ARC or and eARC but it MUST be an ARC
- Yes it can be an ARC that has released as long as it’s an ARC I’m not going to nit pick much
- HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Feeling like you are being “forced” to read is the best way turn a fun event into a yucky obligation.
- Update post! I personally will do a post for each Saturday in August (starting August 8th) but that’s just me. You can update once a week, every other week or once for the whole darn event. This update can be in the form of a blog or tumblr post, vlog, link to your “ARC August 2015″ shelf or even an instagram pic! I want to make this as easy and low pressure as possible for you.
Goals for ARC August...
I was debating to share with you the books that I will definitely be getting to this month, but then I made myself realize that whenever I set books to read in stone I never stick with the ones I choose. Instead, I will be listing about 22 (there's no way I'll get to all of them this month!) books that I will be choosing from as I make my way through August and my review pile. I will link them to Goodreads, so if the cover and title sounds/looks interesting you can skedaddle on over to Goodreads to learn more about them! Let me know if you are or thinking about participating in ARC August!
WOW. You have a lot of interesting books that you want to review for August. I hope you get to read most of these. I hope you love all of them. New follower via bloglovin. I'm thinking I should do this one as well.

I wasn't kidding when I said I was a "little" behind on reviewing *cringes* Thank you and me too! It would definitely release some weight off my shoulders. Thank you for following, and I highly encourage you to join! It's never too late!
